Singapore Botanical...Gin?

Discover local gin cocktail recipes from the owner of Brass Lion Distillery.

27 October 2019

Think ‘Singaporean Botanicals’ and, for most of us, a certain garden in the heart of Singapore comes to mind. The last thing we’d think of is a gin distillery – but Brass Lion Distillery founder, Jamie Koh, is here to change that with her uniquely Singaporean spirit.

With a steadfast dedication to the use of Asian ingredients, from chrysanthemum to pomelo peel, Jamie explores ingredients not usually found in gin. And perhaps mixing local flavours with a traditionally Western spirit may sound rather unorthodox to you. But take just one sip of Jamie’s flagship Singapore Dry Gin, and you will see that there is clearly a method to the madness here.

The Singapore Dry Gin is a refreshing, modern spirit that lives up to its Singaporean heritage, while staying true to the fundamentals: it is smooth, crisp and exquisitely balanced. What’s more, it’s pretty versatile too – it pairs well not only with the usual suspects like lemon and pineapple, but also with exotic ingredients like yuzu jam and floral tea, and garnishes like coconut foam.

Intrigued? Here are some Brass Lion home cocktail recipes that you can try for yourself today.
