Brand Story:
Founded in 2007 by Lin Gao and his daughter, the Bordeaux-graduated winemaker Emma Gao, it is considered a pioneer of Chinese fine wine. Silver Heights has been always committed to quality and sustainability, using biodynamic methods to cultivate its vines and to respect its land. We craft elegant, organic and artisanal wines that perfectly reflect the terroir of Ningxia.

Beautiful green apple accompanied by plentiful of tropical notes. Packed of papaya, banana and apricot along with a creamy texture on the palate. A fantastic wine to be served with portray or to enjoy on itself.

“Emma Gao’s 2021 Family Reserve Chardonnay is her most impressive outing with the variety to date. However, it is not star-bright in clarity, with a slightly hazy, unfiltered moderate lemon appearance. On the nose, there is lifted stone fruit (white peach, nectarine, hint of apricot) with some lemon peel combined with some subtle new-oak notes of toast and clove (the 2021 vintage saw some nine months in 100% new French oak 228-liter barrels). There’s also a hint of wild ferment "funkiness." On the palate, the 2021 Family Reserve Chardonnay is medium-bodied—the alcohol only comes in at around 12%, consistent with the native-yeast ferment—showing bright acidity and a pleasant core of fruit, drawing some added complexity of texture from some lees. With its longer length, the wine has a layered, compelling finish. Best drunk over the next 2 years.” – Wine Advocate, 92 points
