The first vintage was 1997, released in 2000.The Bin number 798, was assigned to align RWT with the rest of the collection family from 2016. The number is alphanumeric. Polished, stylish and approachable on release, RWT can be enjoyed as a young wine but will certainly reward careful cellaring for 25+ years.

Tasting Notes :

Colour: Deep dark cherry red, opaque at the core and luminous rim.

Nose: Regionally distinct, an aromatic profile that can only signify the Barossa Valley. Dark forest berries, bramble, satsuma plum conserve and dark cherry. Warm spice, fresh tobacco leaf, chinotto/sarsaparilla. Violets, fresh vanilla pod and arabica ristretto round out an enticing nose.

Palate: Blue fruits, boysenberry, plum and mulberry are front and centre, a signature of RWT. A suggestion of crème brûlée and panforte. Complex notes of exotic spice and cedary oak. A regional thumb print.
