The Kalleske family have been Barossa Valley’s leading grape-growing family since 1853, consistently growing some of Barossa’s best quality grapes. Today, Kalleske winery is run by the 7th generation who manages both the viticulture and vinification. As active practitioners of sustainable farming, Kalleske is the oldest certified organic and biodynamic vineyard and winery in Barossa Valley. All Kalleske wines are estate grown and vinified with minimalist winemaking techniques to fully capture the essence of the vineyard.

Tasting Notes:
2022 Old Vine Grenache is deep purple-red in colour. It has a super bright, lifted aroma, very captivating. There’s intense floral perfume, ripe raspberry, plum and cherry-ripe, evolving to liquorice, clove spice and glacé fruit. The palate is full and flavoursome. Juicy red and black fruits dominate. Balancing this plush fruit is a fine line of defined natural tannins adding a neat backbone. The varietal fruit purity is commanding, respected by subtle seasoned oak barrel maturation. An outstanding length is a fitting finish to this flavourful, harmonious, and varietally true wine. This distinguished Grenache drinks well now but can equally be cellared for 5-10 years.

Flecked with wildflowers and gingery spice, it's an earthier, deeper expression of the variety.
