                There are 2 types of Jade in the world: Jadeite and Nephrite. Nephrite is the older & more commonly available. Chinese, Maori, and Meso-American cultures prized Nephrite Jade. Since ancient times Jade symbolism has often encompassed themes of harmony and virtue. Our Nephrite is Canadian in origin where mining practices are strictly controlled.
