JOURNEY is an award-winning brand under TOUCH Community Services that empowers individuals with intellectual disabilities by celebrating their creative talents. Born out of TOUCH’s longstanding commitment to supporting special needs individuals, JOURNEY has developed programmes that foster dignity, independence, and professional opportunities.

Through our two Day Activity Centres and a stay-in residential programme for adults with mild intellectual disabilities, we equip individuals with skills to lead fulfilling lives. Our platform showcases and sells their artworks to the wider public and corporate partners, enabling them to earn an income and gain exposure through meaningful collaborations.

JOURNEY was conferred the Enabling Innovation Award by SG Enable at the 2023 Enabling Mark Awards Ceremony for its innovative efforts to provide sustainable employment for its artists and collaborations with stakeholders to increase its reach.

Through JOURNEY, some 70 artists will get an opportunity to earn from the sale of their art prints, as well as gain access to platforms for brand collaborations that showcase their talent and tenacity. Such opportunities will enable persons with intellectual disabilities to contribute to society and increase the visibility of their talents in Singapore and beyond. 

The Art Faculty is a social enterprise by Autism Resource Centre (Singapore), a social service agency set up in 2000. The Art Faculty promotes the special talents of artists on the autism spectrum through their original art pieces, and designs thoughtfully embellished onto quality, functional products. Every creation is a reflection of the artists’ unique perspectives and creative expression.

As a social enterprise, The Art Faculty also creates employment opportunities in an inclusive environment. Some of its products are stitched by artisans on the autism spectrum. The sale of each product translates to income for each artist, artisan and employee on the autism spectrum. This supports their beneficiaries’ journey towards financial independence and affirms their role as valuable contributors to society.
