Born in China, Seiichi Saito grew up in Japan before going to France to learn the profession of the winegrower. This Burgundy wine enthusiast then began training in oenology in Beaune, which enabled him to work for prestigious estates. After ten years in the Burgundy vineyard and a solid experience, Seiichi Saito decides to stand on his own feet and settles in Chorey lès Beaune; the Petit Roy estate was born in 2016. Today Seiichi Saito has a bit more of a hectare of vines on the Petit Roy estate, which he supplements with a little renting and purchase of perfectly selected grapes.

Tasting Notes

Lighter bodied, beautiful pale ruby in the glass, pressed rose petals, damp earth, chopped herbs, bruised cherries. Terrific structure, lip-smacking acidity.
