One of Singapore Airlines’ sustainability initiative, the batik trimmings from the making of the iconic sarong kebaya uniforms were transformed into usable products. This notebook is elegantly hand-bound by SPD, a local charity supporting persons with disabilities, and exclusively available on KrisShop.
Each journal is finished with rounded corners, bound with 100gsm ivory-coloured pH-neutral plain paper by SPD’s team of experienced craftspeople with physical disabilities.
The team specialises in book binding and restoration services, binding books with stitches and specialty fabrics that are made to last.
