LAURENT PERRIER ALEXANDRA GRANDE CUVEE ROSE 2012 GB
Laurent-Perrier, the benchmark for the non-vintage rosé champagne category, wishing to raise its standards even further developed a vintage Grande Cuvée Rosé. Alexandra Rosé is a rare and sought-after wine that comes from a rigorous selection from the best plots, an exceptional marriage between the Pinot Noir Grands Crus and Chardonnay. The 2012 wine year was complicated with winter and spring frosts, hail and cryptogamic diseases, which had an impact on the yield, which was rather moderate. The dry, sunny summer allowed the grapes to ripen to perfection allowing for an exceptional harvest.

Tasting Notes: A deep blood orange colour with very fine, persistent bubbles. A complex nose with notes of red fruits (crushed strawberries). A rich, warm wine with red fruit aromas and a bitter orange finish.
Serving temperature: between 10°C and 12°C.
Grape Varietal(s): Pinot Noir, Chardonnay
Awards & Accolades (Robert Parker/ Wine Spectator/ James Suckling etc):
“A blend of 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay that are pressed together, Laurent-Perrier's new 2012 Brut Alexandra Grande Cuvée Rosé was disgorged in January 2022. Wafting from the glass with rich aromas of orange oil, macerated red berries, stone fruits and petals, it's medium to full-bodied, bright and pillowy, with a fleshy core of fruit and delicate phenolic structure that enlivens its sapid finish.” – Wine Advocate, 94 points
“Offers a plush texture that carries gorgeous flavors of macerated cherry and strawberry preserves, blood orange gelée, toasted walnut, chamomile and saffron. Revealing a rich profile deftly integrated with a delicate spine of acidity and a minerally underpinning, this is effortlessly bright and graceful on the palate. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Drink now through 2037.” – Wine Spectator, 96 points
