GOSSET GRAND ROSE BRUT NV

As the oldest Champagne House in the town of Ay, Champagne Gosset has a rich history dating to 1584 when Pierre Gosset began producing still red wines. Since the 16th century, Gosset has evolved from a simple still wine producer to a highly respected and world renowned producer of top quality champagne. While Gosset has evolved over time, the House still uses the same antique style bottle that was used in the 17th century. Champagne Gosset only uses grapes produced from the Crus of the Marne district with a 95% average classification.

Tasting Notes

the NV Grand Rosé Brut offers up an attractive bouquet of sweet red apples, fresh pastry and orange rind. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, concentrated and powerful, built around a bright spine of acidity and a tight-knit core but with enough substance to cover its structural bones and offer great promise for medium-term cellaring. This is an intense, elegantly austere wine that exemplifies the Gosset style.
