Côtes de Castillon is one of the unsung heroes of the right bank. Château Rouzerol is a family-owned estate situated on the ridge to Castillon in the village of Sainte Colombe, near Château Faugères. Its name comes from its location, initially spelled “Rouzeyrol”.
Tasting Notes :
With its beautiful deep cherry color, the nose of Rouzerol reveals grilled notes associated with aromas of small forest fruits (blackcurrant, wild strawberry). In the mouth, the attack is fleshy and velvety with a nice acidity guaranteeing a good balance. The tannins are tight but not aggressive and give a nice amplitude to this Castillon: a nice wine of character, perfect image of its owner.
