The vineyard is located on the archaeological site called Niord, dating back to the
5th century B.C, where a remarkably well-preserved skeleton over 2,500 years old
was found. This skeleton is exhibited at Château Fombrauge, a nearby estate also
belonging to Bernard Magrez.
Tasting Notes
It reveals notes of cassis, blackberry and small notes of wild berries associated with a hint of blue fruits, tea, blueberry as well as hints of Sichuan pepper, licorice stick and spices. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a good definition, juiciness, a mineral frame, gourmandise as well as a fine tension.
