THE SINGLETON GLEN ORD 43 SINGLE MALT WHISKY
- Product Weight
- 0 kg
The oldest of The Singleton distilleries and the only Highlander in the family, Glen Ord is the product of the White Burn’s water and the Black Isle’s barley. But this beautifully rich Single Malt Scotch Whisky is anything but grey – zinging instead with the vibrancy of dark berries, cherries and blackcurrants. Forgotten Drop Series– 600 bottles available globally
- Appearance : Full, car gold.
- Nose : Gentle nose feel, from a mild nose with immediate, rich, fruity aromas. A sweet fresh fruit salad, with white grapes, melon, orange segments, cherries, pineapple and apple, all on a base of candlewax and sandalwood. A drop of water introduces a fleeting floral note and subdues the fruitiness to favour a sweet suggestion of Scottish tablet toffee.
- Palate : At natural strength the texture is very smooth; lightly waxy (teeth-coating) and even creamy in feel. The taste starts sweet, with bright, white grapey notes, then becomes and stays spicy. Chewy on the palate, with a peppery warmth. Becomes lightly drying.
- Finish : Long, warming and sweetly drying. With water it finishes sweeter; though it’s still warming, the spiciness is also reduced. Pale melon, now sprinkled with grated ginger.
ABV : 48.4%
