Amrut Single Malt Whisky is a product of 20 years of research in an effort to produce high quality malt whisky in tune with international standards.
The whisky is made from select India malted barley grown in Punjab and Rajasthan, the northwest frontier states of India.
In Punjab, the waters from the great Himalayas flow through the river Sutlej. The cold winters and fiery summers create a unique quality of grain, rich in flavour. Malting is done according to the standard laid down by Amrut.
The malted barley is then transported to the south of India to our production unit in Bangalore where it is carefully mashed and distilled in small batches to preserve the natural aromas. The whisky then undergoes maturation in imported oak barrels for over three years in a unique tropical condition at a warehouse on the distillery premises in Bangalore, the Garden City of India, which is at an altitude of 3000ft. above the sea level enjoying a salubrious climate all year around.

Tasting Note :
- Nose : Distinctly confidant liquorice-bourbon notes with near perfect bitter-sweet balance; burnt honeycomb and toffee also abound;
- Taste : Outstanding richness and sheen to the enormous barley-oak sweetness; again there is a big bourbony cut to the cloth with all the liquorice and molassed sugar normally associated; but the barley adds that extra dimension;
- Finish : Long, wonderfully layered oak offering variations of a sweet dry theme; a touch silky with some cream toffee at the death;
