Grapes were originally supplied to local wine companies; however a desire to extend the quality achieved in the vineyard through to the finished wine led to the establishment of Saint Clair Family Estate in 1994.

Tasting Note :
Nose: Aromas of dark forest berries, blackberry and blueberries and spiced liquorice and cedar notes.
Palate: A rich, dark palate of ripe forest fruit and spiced plum flavours with a touch of fresh coffee. The rich silky structure and fine-grained tannins lead to a long toasty finish.
Food Pairing : Well-matched with barbercued beef fillet or ribeye steak and chunky home cut fries.
