It is within the Pessac-Léognan appellation, the oldest vineyard in Bordeaux, that we find Château Brown. It owes its name to John Lewis Brown, Scottish merchant and great lover of Bordeaux wines, who bought it in 1795. Also owner in the Margaux appellation, this enthusiast will allow Château Brown to gain in quality and renown. Since 2004, it has belonged to the Dirkzwager and Mau families, with Jean-Christophe Mau at the helm. It covers 59 hectares, 29 of which are vines, and produces Château Brown red and white. Its wines gain in finesse from year to year and can be tasted on the freshness of their fruit.
