This exceptional single malt celebrates the world of coffee and showcases a special harmony with the world of whisky. Created by The Macallan Whisky Maker, Steven Bremner, it offers a distinctive coffee flavour and provides a delightful whisky and coffee pairing experience.

The whisky is presented in a unique presentation box made using repurposed and recycled materials including coffee bean husks, a natural by-product in the coffee-making process which would have otherwise been discarded.

The exceptional release is a celebration of the world of coffee and has been inspired by the Ethiopian Arabica coffee bean. The Macallan, together with experts specialising in the coffee ecosystem, have united to share knowledge, creativity and passion.

The Macallan Whisky Maker Steven Bremner immersed himselfin the art of coffee by hosting a masterclass with the world-renowned coffee experts at The Macallan Estate. He explored the practice from field to cup, uncovering the unique process and distinct flavour profiles at each stage.

Steven drew inspiration from the Arabica coffee bean from Ethiopia, renowned as the birthplace of coffee following its cultivation of the Arabica bean, the first species of coffee, to create the expression. Crafted from a harmonious combination of European and American oak casks which deliver notes reminiscent of a sweet yet strong espresso coffee, this single malt whisky has an ABV of 44% and pairs in perfect harmony with coffee, providing a distinctive way to experience The Macallan.

In homage to its coffee inspiration, Inspired by Intense Arabica is encased in a beautiful presentation box, made using repurposed and recycled materials including natural by- products in the coffee-making process. Coffee bean husks which would have otherwise been discarded are given a new lease of life to create the innovative packaging which features a rich red pantone colour to reflect the coffee fruit.

-Finish: Long, dark roast coffee, balanced and sweet.
