Will your shopping habits change this 2023? Read these resolutions we’ll be working on.
Current mood: Hoping for minimal regret buys from the holiday shopping season. But, here’s where the saying “new year, new resolutions” aptly applies.
It’s easy to look back on the year and feel like you’ve made mistakes - the tough part comes when you think of what you want to do for the new year. Here’s a friendly reminder that setting achievable goals will leave you feeling satisfied and productive all year.
And if you’re still unsure of what your resolutions should be, we’ve listed out some ideas for you:
Practicality over everything else
While it’s important to ensure that your home is filled with items that look…”aesthetic”, you don’t have to sacrifice practicality and blow your budget for these items. Plus, it’s not difficult to find a modern home appliance that works and looks good these days. You’ll want to first do your research - look at reviews and video demos to get a better feel of the product. Then, focus on the product specifications to see if they fit what you’re looking for.
Make a positive impact on your little one
New parents may find that shopping for the new addition to your family can get confusing. You may also be inclined to over-buy children’s products because you feel anxious at the thought of missing out on important necessities. Word of advice: Stay calm. Browse and review the quality of these products before mass purchasing them. Where toys are concerned, keep purchases to the minimum because it’s only natural for kids to outgrow their toys.
And if your child is of schooling age, find out what’s needed for them to have a secure and conducive environment to study and take part in activities. Keep in mind to not compare their journey with yours, as education is always evolving.
Commit to what you've bought
You’ve been on the longest journey to discover what works for your skin and body. But when you find something that works, make it a routine for at least a year. And for our sensitive skin sisters out there, holding back on product experimentation will help you cut down on product wastage. You’ll also look forward to using up the entire bottle of product once you see results.
And for those getting into a new fitness routine. Here’s three cheers to that. Stick to it for a couple of months, and adjust the frequency along the way. It’s not a competition, and as long as you’re not going back to your old sedentary lifestyle, it’s a sign of progress.
