Kavalan distillery is a global whisky sensation, crafting luxurious single malts against the mountains of Yilan County, Taiwan. A pioneering force, this family-owned enterprise single-handedly created a nation’s whisky industry and a new “world” category in global competitions. Kavalan first shot to fame starting in 2010 by winning a Times of London-organised blind tasting in honour of Robert Burns, followed in 2015 when it was named the World Whiskies Awards “World’s Best Single Malt,” less than 10 years after launching.
